Band practice 13th September 2008
The boys worked hard - we did a long rehearsal! The band is trying to get 2 new songs ready for the next gig on the 27th September - Walk of Life and Black and Gold. Max has downloaded the lyrics and put them in a folder - there are a lot of words in Walk of Life but he has already done a good job in learning them!
For Walk of Life, Scot has already worked hard on learning the difficult keyboard riff. He's finding all the notes - next job is to get them tightly in time (check out that practice video!).
The chords for James:
For the keyboard riff the chords are D / G / A / G A
And for the verse the chords are D / / / / / / / G / D / G / D [break] D A D G D A G A then it goes back to the keyboard riff.
Black and Gold - the chords for James:
Em / / / C / Am /
(We worked out a way of playing C that just meant putting 1 extra finger down on the A string, 3rd fret to get the change from Em.)
Scott is playing the synth bass part
E x 16, C x 8, A x 4, B x 2 D x 2
