Lean on me

The band has started learning Lean On Me, with Scott playing tenor horn.
The guitar part for James is a line (rather than chords) and goes like this.

The lyrics.

Sometimes in our lives we all have pain
We all have sorrow
But if we are wise
We know that there's always tomorrow

Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend

Are We Human

Rehearsal 27th January. The boys chose 'Are We Human' by The Killers as their next song to learn. They made a really good start tonight, just learning the basics to start with. Here is our reference track, and attached is a Word document of the lyrics and chords.

The boys worked hard - we did a long rehearsal! The band is trying to get 2 new songs ready for the next gig on the 27th September - Walk of Life and Black and Gold. Max has downloaded the lyrics and put them in a folder - there are a lot of words in Walk of Life but he has already done a good job in learning them!

For Walk of Life, Scot has already worked hard on learning the difficult keyboard riff. He's finding all the notes - next job is to get them tightl… Continue

band practice - 10th September 2008

Band practice 10th September 2008. We started Walk of Life - pretty tough but good fun!
Here is the recording the boys are practising with. It sounds all mushed up because it is slowed down and in a different key.

The chords for James are D G and A. Max has a lot of words to learn!
Scott has a really tricky keyboard riff and here it is slowed down.… Continue
